Volunteers are needed on weekdays to deliver fresh, nutritious meals to homebound older adults in Davidson County. Volunteers deliver to up to 8 individuals who live close to each other. Pick up times for meals is between 10:30 - 11:30 am and route delivery usually takes approximately 1 hour. Meals are picked up from our 174 Rains Avenue location near the Tennessee State Fairgrounds.
Volunteers must complete an on-line background check and show verification of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. This opportunity is best suited for those willing to make a long term commitment and the majority of our volunteers serve once a week and deliver to the same route each week.
In addition to delivering a meal, volunteers provide a safety check and welcome personal interaction for older adults who may not see many others during the day.
