As a Hospice Patient Companionship Volunteer, you will collaborate with our full-service medical and psycho-social care team to help patients and their family members. You will have the opportunity to offer companionship to patients in their home, assisted living, or skilled nursing facility while adhering to current health and safety guidelines. Volunteer time is flexible to work with your schedule.

Volunteer activities with patients include: Listening to a patient's stories, reading aloud, watching TV, providing caregiver relief in the home, listening to music, doing crafts, but most of all, supporting someone dealing with a terminal illness.

Volunteers DO NOT provide any hands-on care such as changing a patient, feeding a patient, bathing, giving medications, etc.

No previous hospice experience is needed, accentCare Hospice will provide training and support throughout your time as a volunteer. Our volunteers are part of our team that provides excellent care to those at the end of life. Your gift of compassionate presence is valued!

If you are looking for a deeply rewarding volunteer opportunity, then this is for you!
