Volunteer: Delivering Care Packages to Families - Direct Service

Our mission is to provide a wide range of thoughtful and fundamental services to families and children during the critical phase of a medical crisis. We serve families referred by medical agencies, by building a network of services and people who ease the burden of life’s day-to-day obligations with compassion and care.

Volunteers can support families in many ways through There With Care Middle Tennessee. One essential way to volunteer is to connect directly with the families we serve by coordinating and completing scheduled deliveries of care packages to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt as well as to The Children's Hospital at TriStar Centennial. These volunteers will be required to complete an additional training and background check prior to beginning service to families. Volunteers can also help by sorting and bundling baby clothes, organizing donations, creating care packages, helping with administrative tasks, and more. If you are interested in volunteering, please express interest below.

Volunteers are also needed to:

Assist in creating grocery support care bags Organize and create activity care bags that will go to patients and/or siblings Restock the food pantry Sanitize and organize donations so that supplies can be efficiently sent out to families in need

These opportunities can be scheduled on a flexible, ongoing basis.
There With Care of Middle Tennessee is grateful to the volunteers who generously give their time and care to support the families we serve.

* COVID-19 POLICIES: There With Care facilities are now fully vaccinated for all working within our spaces. As always, please take precautions and refrain from volunteering if you are feeling sick, have any COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

We have asked our partners to update their posting language to reflect their current COVID guidelines. If you have any questions in general, or you don’t see details, you can reach out to the opportunity coordinator via the link next to their name below.

With that being said, we acknowledge that everyone has their own comfort level with regards to being out in the world with respect to the current pandemic. If you go to a project, and feel unsafe, please speak to on-site representative and let HON know – your feedback is invaluable, and we work to keep everyone safe while meeting urgent needs in the community.
