Cheekwood is excited to debut its inaugural African American Cultural Family Celebration on August 14 & 15, featuring a weekend of activities, highlighting both the visual and performing arts. During this weekend-long event visitors will have the opportunity to learn about Nashville’s esteemed William Edmondson, with special lectures and curator-led tours, as well as participate in a collaborative art project, listen to music from Nashville greats, and sample tasty fare from local food trucks. Morning and afternoon shifts per day. Volunteer roles include art activities, and greeter volunteers to help as guides for the event. Some assignments are outdoors, some are indoors.
Online registration at Cheekwood is required in order to participate. Groups...each member must register individually and be confirmed in advance.
In addition to responding in Get Connected, volunteers must complete their registration through Cheekwood's volunteer portal - https://cheekwood.org/african-american-cultural-family-celebration-volunteer-registration/
