Depave Nashville!

We are working with Nashville's Metro Water Services to remove an old parking lot as part of our Depave Program. Adjacent to Browns Creek, this parking lot will be converted into a more natural environment that captures and filters stormwater runoff.Volunteers will help remove old asphalt with pry bars to expose the underlying soil. We will provide all gloves, water, snacks, tools, and eye/ear protection for volunteers. Volunteers should dress in weather appropriate clothing that can get dirty and protect from scrapes/bruises. Jeans and boots are recommended. Volunteers cannot participate unless they are wearing closed toe shoes (NO SANDALS).
