Home Delivered Meals is a program that delivers meals to older adults in the community. We are looking for volunteers in Morgan County (Wartburg, TN).

Location

Volunteers will meet at the Morgan County East Tennessee Human Resources Agency (ETHRA) Office located at 1111 Knoxville Hwy, Wartburg, TN 37887.

Time Commitment

Deliveries are needed in the mornings on Fridays from approximately 8:00a-11:00a.

Home Delivered Meals is a program that delivers meals to older adults in the community. We are looking for volunteers in Anderson County (Oak Ridge, TN).

Location

Volunteers will meet at the Oak Ridge Senior Center located at 1403 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.

Time Commitment

Deliveries and kitchen help are needed in the mornings Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from approximately 8:00a-11:00a.

The Tennessee State Health Insurance Assistance Program (TN SHIP) is a free, non-based Medicare counseling program that assists Medicare beneficiaries and their families make the best choices for their health care needs. We are in need of volunteers in the community to assist with answering Medicare questions, attending community events, entering data and more.

Each volunteer will be provided training and resources to ensure they understand how to navigate Medicare to help others.

You can help us with that mission by by becoming a "Waymaker". Our volunteers drivers do more than just drive, they are a listening ear, a hand to hold, a smile when someone is down and a friendly face. So we like to say we have "Waymakers" because they 'make a way for our older adults in our community'. We only ask our "Waymakers" to commit 3 hours a month, but encourage you to do as much as you feel led to do.
