Who We Are
The Arts Center has been in the heart of LC since 1963 (originally called the Art League) and was deeded our forever home right off the downtown square in 1975. Today we continue a neat 53+ year tradition called Southern Weekend of Art which has become a 3-day minifestival! This year it will be October 29-31. Throughout the year we facilitate scholarship opportunities to local students, art classes for all ages, Songwriters events and Open Mics as well as other performance arts events. We would like to reestablish our photography club and any other clubs that have dissolved or have yet to be formed. We are all volunteers here; the membership keeps the Arts Center alive!
